An aging gangster tries to reconnect with his children and right the wrongs of his past, but the criminal underworld refuses to let go of its grip. Liam Neeson began boxing at the age of 9 and boxed at the amateur level until he was 17. A definitive diagnosis of CTE can only be made by examining brain tissue after a person’s death.

However, for me, that was exactly why I enjoyed it

This is not your typical Liam Neeson action movie, and that may be why some people dislike it or find it boring. Over the past few years, I’ve felt like all of his films have become repetitive – different titles, but essentially the same movie.
I wasn’t a fan of the ending, though
Absolution breaks away from that mold, offering a surprising level of emotional depth that sets him apart from his usual roles. The film provides a thoughtful exploration of redemption and relationships, which I found refreshing. It felt like a drag, taking too long to get to the point, which slightly detracted from my overall experience.
